Frederick W. Loomis papers, 1873-1977 (bulk 1916-1941).

Papers include reminiscence written by Loomis (1931), covering the majority of his public political life, reflecting on his childhood and upbringing, education in high school and the University of Michigan and his early law practice and political activity before moving to Aberdeen; his involvement in fraternal organizations, especially the Knights of Pythias, and job as police judge in Aberdeen, also documenting his campaign for state senate as well as subsequent political life and financial status in Aberdeen. The reminiscence also covers his personal life, including marriages to Carrie Wilson and Alma Wing and birth of his only child Mary Elizabeth Loomis.
