Autographs, some real, some facsimiles, of various people, mostly not very famous. The items of interest include: (1) a letter from Bushrod Washington, Washington [D.C.], 20 Jan. 1827, to an unknown person in Albemarle County, Virginia, about settling an account; and (2) a note from John A. Washington, 1824, to the sheriff of Jefferson [County, Virginia, now West Virginia] authorizing the sale of Betty from the estate of John Throckmorton.
