Juanita Greer White was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 19, 1905. She received her A.B. in General Chemistry from Agnes Scott College in 1926 and her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University in 1929. She was named to Women of America and Who's who in New England in the 1930s. She was elected regent of the University of Nevada, serving from 1963 to 1967 and served in the legislature as an assemblywoman.
