Autograph letters signed from John Philip Kemble to various people [manuscript], 1795-1817.

Recipients: John Taylor (leaf 6) and [Henry Richard Vassall Fox, Baron Holland] (leaf 48). The letter to Taylor concerns Alexander the Great which Kemble produced at Drury Lane in 1795. The letter identified as being to Fox (addressed simply "Gentlemen"), dated June 1, 1817, is a facsimile. This letter refers to an "honour...on Friday the 27th instant," presumably a reference to Kemble's retirement dinner. Also, an invitation to Kemble's retirement dinner June 27, 1817 on leaf 104.
