Francis E. Hyslop papers, 1926-1980.

This collection consists mostly of photographic copies of 19th century Belgian artist Henri Evenepoel's art work and letters written by Evenpoel to his father from 1892 to 1899. These files document the research into his book, Henri Evenepoel: Belgian Painter in Paris, 1892-1899, published in 1975. The collection also includes information pertaining to the creation of the Nittany Lion Shrine (by sculptor Heinz Warneke) and the Old Main murals (by artist Henry Varnum Poor). This information includes correspondence between Hyslop and the artists, publications pertaining to the artists and their work, and photographs.
