Logbook : of the Exchange (Ship), 1764 March 20 - September 20.

Under the command of William Outram, the Exchange sailed from London to Virginia and return. The first section of the logbook contains daily entries consisting of information on marine weather conditions, course, winds, and distance traveled per day. The last entry to contain coordinates is 17 September 1764 which places the ship west of London. The 18, 19 and 20 September entries contain only wind speed and direction, and other weather conditions. The last eight pages of the volume contain information on medicinal treatments, i.e., "a remedy for sore gums and loose teeth ... a remedy for corns on the feet ... a good recipe for preventing infection ... for the dropsy."
