The collection consists of some of the correspondence between John Bonner, Head of Special Collections at the University of Georgia, and Mr. Bromsen, Boston scholar and manuscript dealer. There are copies of correspondence regarding the Lanman Congressional manuscripts and also clippings of news reports on the annual Bromsen Lecture in Humanistic Bibliography at the Boston Public Library.

JoseĢ Toribio Medina (1852-1930) was a Chilean historian, bibliographer, author, editor, translator, and publisher. He published over 300 different works during his life. Maury A. Bromsen (1919-2005) was an expert in, and a collector of materials relating to, colonial Spanish America, particularly pertaining to printing, publishing, and the bibliographers of that time.
