Selected papers of G.S. Fraser, 1965-1968.

This collection of selected papers of G.S. Fraser consists primarily of documentation of Fraser's work which resulted in the publication, in 1968, of his critical book, Lawrence Durrell: A Study. Included in the collection are letters to Fraser from Durrell, Alan G. Thomas, and Alan Pringle, Durrell's and Fraser's editor at Faber and Faber. Manuscript material includes most of an early manuscript of the book, "The Ingenuous Mask," the final manuscript of Lawrence Durrell: A Study, as well as two sets of galleys and one of page proofs.
