Correspondence, chiefly 14 volumes of indexed letterpress copybooks (1873-1903) containing information on the inside operation of railroads and the opening of North Dakota farmland, especially the Red River Valley. Some personal correspondence is included along with extensive correspondence between family members and the Institute. Letterpress books covering 1878-1894 have been transcribed. Also includes brief interview (1 leaf) with Ethelwyn Power, financial and legal papers, speeches, architectural drawings, minutes, farm diaries (1898-1924), farm expense records, and livestock inventories (1916-1924) for Helendale Farm, tax statements for Minnesota and North Dakota properties. Includes newspaper clippings concerning J.B. Power, his Shorthorn cattle, and J.A. Power. Three papers and one article concerning the life and career of J.B. Power are included.
