This is a memoir of his service as a member of Chew's Battery, Stuart's Horse Artillery, C.S.A., describing his actions in a battle at Culpeper Court House, 1863, his capture, and two years imprisonment at Capitol Prison, Washington, D.C. and Point Lookout, Md.
