The collection contains bills and receipts of Hugh Carr, an indenture, 1868, as a sharecropper, and one, 1875, as a farm manager. The papers of his daughter Mary Louise Elizabeth Carr Greer and her husband Conley Greer include correspondence with students and each other, as well as music, clippings, and the first yearbook of the Albemarle Training School, "Ayteesse," 1948. Letters from Hinton C. Jones, an Albemarle Training School teacher, to Evangeline Greer Jones while she was student at Cornell constitute the bulk of the collection.
