This collection of added papers includes correspondence and receipts from the early 19th century through the middle of the 20th century. The majority of the papers date from the first decade of the 20th century and concern Edwin C. Foote, his activities at business school in Louisville, his employment, and his friends. There are many interesting political papers in the collection due to the Foote family's involvement in the local Democratic club. These include copies of an 1848 proclamation including 11 resolutions dealing with the Mexican War and the Wilmot Proviso, and an 1877 proclamation concerning the Hayes-Tilden presidential election.
