The Copernican system of the world : demonstrated by invincible arguments and reconciled to theology / by Petrus Megertinus J.V. Phi. D. public professor of the mathematic in the University of Basille ; translated out of ye Latin. 1686.

An unpublished anonymous translation of Megerlin's Systema mundi Copernicanum into English. A fair copy, written without corrections in a small, neat hand, the volume excludes the dedication to Jan Hudd printed in the original 1682 publication, but does include meticulous copies of the illustrations printed in the original. The manuscript also contains an additional "Explication of the first diagram" on p. [1]-[5], which precedes the folding illustrations.

88, [8] p., bound : ill. ; 17 cm.
