The collection contains requisitions, invoices, and other quartermaster accounts, mostly of the 5th Alabama Infantry Regiment during the time the unit served in Virginia near Richmond, kept by Capt. John White, assistant quartermaster. Included is a letter (3 December 1863) from Stephen R. Mallory, secretary of the Navy, to Brig. Gen. A.R. Lawton concerning the Atlanta Rolling Mill.
