Miscellaneous records of the department, the bulk of which is in correspondence files, largely concerning curriculum development, exhibits, funding, and staffing. The correspondence files contain records on the origins and early development of the Department, including the controversy as to which School or College would administer it. There is some information on the Department's support for a bachelor's degree program in religious studies, a 1965 exhibit of Greek and Russian icons, the William and Eileen Liebman Lectures in the History of Art, and brochures on a variety of other exhibits.
