Plymouth Preparative Meeting was established in 1703. In 1827, after the Hicksite Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, the meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. Plymouth Preparative Meeting (Orthodox) was discontinued in 1907, and its members were transferred to Norristown Preparative Meeting.
