The Dora Keen photograph collection consists of photographs from Keen's first attempt to summit Mount Blackburn. Images include panoramas of Mount Blackburn, views of Mount Reynolds, glaciers, members of the climbing party, and features of Mount Blackburn. Also included are photoraphs of the Bonanza Mine area. The photographs, which are the work of an unknown photographer, are arranged in the original order of the trip based upon Keen's numbering. Each print includes comments on the back written by Keen. The sequence of images reflects the multiple attempts of Keen's party to reach the summit via various routes.

One of the world's first female mountaineers, Dora Keen (born 1871), defied social norms of the day by taking up mountain climbing and traveling and becoming the first person to climb the peak of Mount Blackburn, the highest peak in the Wrangell Mountains range, Alaska.
