Consists of an account book kept by B. Gray of Davidson County, Tennessee and later added to by his widow, Mrs. M.A. Gray. Entries cover the years 1894-1940, and include various sales and household accounts, journal entries for mid-September 1897 (including mention of a visit to the Tennessee Centennial Exposition), 12 pages of English literature notes, a plat map, and a cow register. Also included is a marriage certificate for B. Gray and Mary A. Williams, married in 1856, certificate issued in 1878.
