This collection contains correspondence, reports, photographs, news releases, speeches, minutes, etc. re: the purchase of Tucker Prairie by the University; research grant from the National Science Foundation for establishment of the Prairie; dedication ceremonies for the Prairie; problems concerned with the placement of I-70 through the Prairie; improvements made to the land; establishment of policies for and financing of research done on the land. The Prairie is located along the south side of Highway 40 approximately 3 miles west of Kingdom City in Callaway County.
