Transcribed letters compiled by Jean Harper Nauman, from Hugh Alexander Moore, Jr. and his wife Nancy Moore of Lancaster (Wis.) to their two eldest children Clara (one of the first women graduates of the University of Wisconsin) and Frank, during the children's attendance at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. The letters describe family and school life and activities on the family farm and also include a brief genealogical record, photocopied photographs of the Moore family, and a photocopied excerpt of one of the handwritten letters.
