League of Women Voters of Indiana records, 1908-1978.

The collection is arranged by subject into nine series. It contains the records of the Woman's Franchise League of Indiana (1910-1920); the League of Women Voters of Indiana (1920-1978); the National League of Women Voters (1920-1976); and various local Indiana affiliates (1932-1970s). Materials at the state level include minutes; correspondence; finance reports; membership lists; newsletters; and conference, publicity, and voter registration materials. The collection also includes some records of the Family Service Association of Indianapolis. General topics include legislation, crime, education, child and public welfare, the status of women, and various other aspects of Indiana politics and government. There are materials pertaining to home rule, reappointment, the merit system, and child labor. Local Indiana (township, city, and county) and national league records include organizational and business materials, and issues and projects similar to those dealt with at the state level.
