The collection contains correspondence, publications, programs, and clippings regarding Mellor's business and personal interests. The bulk of the collection deals with Mellor's activities with the American National Jewelers Association and the Indiana Retail Jewelers' Association, and includes correspondence, publications, and meeting programs. There are also items from other jewelers' associations in other states. Also included are materials on an excise tax on jewelry from 1922-1923. There are also records from Mellor's jewelry business, including price lists and a 1912 catalog, and papers from the sale of the business in 1921. Also included are personal materials regarding Mellor's death and funeral, including correspondence and his will; and materials from his membership in the Michigan City chapters of the Rotary Club and Modern Woodmen of America.
