Dean Willard L. Eckhardt materials, 1922-1989.

This collection contains materials relating to the legal career of former Dean of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, Willard L. Eckhardt. Included are his class notes from when he was a law student, a personal diary from March and April 1944, materials relating to his own involvement with the American Bar Association and the Missouri Bar Association, information on courses taught at the law school during his tenure as dean, miscellaneous professional and personal correspondence and photographs, notes and minutes of the various committees he sat on or chaired, and information relating to the day-to-day organization and administration of the law school under his leadership.

Willard L. Eckhardt was Assistant Professor of Law from 1938-1941, Associate Professor of Law from 1941-1945, and Professor of Law from 1945 until his retirement in 1982 when he became Professor Emeritus of Law.
