Brief diary kept by Jeremy (also known as Jeremiah) Stimson of Hopkinton, Mass., from 4 Sept. - 31 Oct. 1776 as a physician in the 3rd Continental Regiment in service in the New York City campaign during the Revolutionary War. Entries concern his treatment of the sick and wounded and activities of the regiment. Also, an unattributed tract entitled, "Be merry and wise, or a guide to all mankind" copied or written by Stimson; and a "Sermon of Dr. Yorick's" (an alias for English clergyman Laurence Sterne) copied from his published sermons by Stimson in 1790.
