Letters, 1831-1839, 1899.

Consists of letters from Clinton A. Hunt to his family in Franklin County, Tennessee. Hunt served in the Tennessee militia during the 2nd Seminole War. Most of the letters are written from Florida and Alabama. Also included is a letter written by Cordell Hull during his service in Cuba as Captain in the 4th Tennessee Regiment, U.S. Army. In the letter, dated Jan. 15, 1899, Hull notifies a Mr. Looney of the death of his son, John.
