Undated manuscript copy (paper watermarked 1813) of 1809 second edition, London, printed for James Cawthorn. With signature of Elizabeth Clark and M. A. Mainwaring. A satire in heroic couplets that derides the contemporary state of English poetry and criticism, particularly recent criticism of Byron in the Edinburgh Review. Byron mocks many poets, including Pope, Sheridan, Southey and Coleridge.
