Letters (1957-1960) to Petersen, residing in Japan, from Cid Corman, written from Europe, Japan, and San Francisco, Calif., relating to literature and philosophy, Corman's experiences as a teacher in Japan, and the literary scene in San Francisco, including one letter from Corman to Gary Snyder; copy of Petersen's The Day of the Hundred Dances (1975) with holograph notes; two versions of a portion of Gary Snyder: Dimensions of a Life (1991), written by Petersen; and photocopies of Berkeley Bussei (1956), a Buddhist poetry periodical, with holograph notes. Includes Petersen's annotations accompanying some of the correspondence and letter (1990) to Richard Schimmelpfeng of the repository staff.
