A meeting for worship and preparative meeting at Media were established in 1878 by Chester Monthly Meeting (Orthodox). Because its membership became identical with its parent monthly meeting, Media Preparative Meeting was discontinued in 1949 and its business assumed by Chester Monthly Meeting.
