League of Women Voters of Washington County (Ark.) records, 1952-1983.

Original and photocopied versions of administrative records including annual reports, correspondence, minutes, and treasurer's reports. Also included are records and research notes maintained by Lilie Johnson, the League's secretary from 1970 to 1975 which were likey used as primary source material for League position papers. Johnson's papers also contain note cards advocating women's rights and a collection of political memorabilia. Other research notes gathered by and disseminated among League members clarify the group's policy on local and national topics such as the public library, the planned regional airport, the Equal Rights Amendment, school financing, and city/county government.
