Autograph letters to Robert William Elliston from various correspondents [manuscript], 1814-1821.

Correspondents: R. Barlow, W. Elliott, jr., Sophia Halford, R.W. Hall, [Fanny] Holcroft, John James Iddino, W. Loveday, J. Minton, Leonora Pincott. Also, 2 statements, one signed by Elizabeth and Henry Nunn, November 27, 1812, the other marked by William Middlecoat, February 26, 1816, and the last leaf of an autograph letter signed from J. Watson to [George B.] Davidge of the Royal Coburg Theatre, August 11, 1831. The letters were written to Elliston when manager, at various times, of the Surrey theatre, the Olympic theatre, The Theatre Royal, Birmingham, and Drury Lane theatre. Many discuss terms of engagement. In (4) Elliott lists his roles in the Portsmouth theatre. In (2) Barlow gives his reasons for wishing to employ Head, a tailor from the Lyceum, despite certain allegations. In (10) Loveday informs him of [John W.?] Cooper's illness.
