Correspondents: [James] Elmes, Robert Hawkes, and Leigh Hunt. Letter (2) asks for two portraits as one of his pictures will be shown at the British Gallery. Mentions [Edmund] Kean's problems with "drinking brandy and water." "He never can recover his character." (3) describes Bullock's bust of Shakespeare, copied from the Stratford bust and the impression it left on him. He has also drawn a sketch of this bust from recollection on the front of the letter.
