Autograph letter signed from Mrs. (Frances Barton) Abington to Mr. Hopkins [manuscript], 177[5] January 20 Friday morning.

Mr. Cumberland has agreed to her resigning the part of Latitia in The choleric man and she now sends the part to him, Hopkins, to await Mr. Garrick's commands as to who shall play the role. She hopes Mr. Garrick will "relieve her from a character so little calcu[lated] to her very confined stile of acting." Endorsed and initialled by Hopkins. Leaf cut affecting text.
