Autograph letter signed from Percival Stockdale, Newman Street, to [David Garrick] [manuscript], 1776 June 4.

Obliged for his attention to the request concerning Mr. [Tilly] Kettle and his friends. Garrick offered them a noble pleasure in Hamlet [his last performance of Hamlet was May 30, 1776]. His situation and mind are so much below the luminous horizon of life, that he has not been able to eye the bright sunset of Garrick's glorious day.
