Alderman Wiseacres speech upon that discreete peticion against Bishopps and church governement . . . [manuscript], ca. 1640 December.

This diatribe in verse seems to have been written shortly after the release of Burton, Prynne and Bastwick in November 1640. The speech was given by Wollaston on December 11, 1640, according to note under Crum T3229. Refers to the first London Root and branch petition, presented to the Long Parliament on December 11, 1640.
