Contains professional papers concerning Sprague's involvement in various heart associations, in the U.S. and abroad; his leadership of the Boston Medical Library; and teaching, consulting, writing, lecturing, and other activities. Also includes papers, such as research notebooks; correspondence, syllabi and notes about cardiac courses at Harvard; correspondence, memoranda and some patient records from his consulting practice and from Massachusetts General Hospital; and other correspondence about Harvard Medical School Alumni Association activities, nomination of Paul D. White (1886-1973) (Harvard, M.D. 1911) was clinical professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, 1940-1950, and on the staff of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass., 1911-1950.
