Business and personal records. 1911-1920.

This collection contains business and personal files of Clinton C. Hollenback of Columbus, Ohio: poultryman; poultry breeder and exhibitor; merchandiser of poultry and agricultural products. It covers the period from 1911 through 1920, and includes personal correspondence and ledger accounts of purchases and sales of hatching eggs, baby chicks and equipment involving farms and businesses in the midwestern and northeastern United States. Many brochures of early agricultural equipment, feeding rations and management practices are included, along with invoices and receipts of business transactions. Price lists for poultry, feedstuff, and other agricultural products of the period are also part of this collection. Detailed egg production and incubation records of individual pedigree chickens showing performance of early strains of different breeds of poultry are included. There are also numerous American Poultry Association prize ribbons awarded to Hollenback's entries in the January 1919 Mukwonago, WI Poultry Show.
