ALS, 1916 March 29 : Kensington [England] to Mr. Marshall.

Does not feel she can compose a message for the women of America as requested. Why should people accept her opinions; better to review history. English statesmen have not made such a "muddle" as has President Wilson. American's remind her of such figures as Sumner, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Lincoln, Grant, Longfellow, Lowell, Motley. No one like them at present.
