Charles Spaulding Thomas II (1918-1981), the grandson of Charles S. Thomas, a governor of Colorado, served as the Assistant Attorney General of Colorado. While in the army during World War II, Thomas was on the Adjutant General's staff at the Nuremberg Trials in Germany.
