The two boxes of selected papers of Edith Summers Kelley consist largely of letters and manuscripts. Most notable among the letters are those from Upton Sinclair, and those from her first husband Allan Updegraff. Also included in the collection are letters from Upton Sinclair to C.F. Kelley in 1957, after Edith's death. The manuscripts are segments from her two novels, short stories, poetry, and a play. The short stories and poems were produced over many years, and all manuscripts are undated. There are also newspaper clippings and reviews of her published novel, Weeds. This collection constitutes all of her known papers except her correspondence with Sinclair Lewis, which is at the Lilly Library, Indiana University.
