The collection covers the development of the organization from the Southern Baptist Religious Education Association to the Baptist Association of Christian Educators. Collection contains by-laws, correspondence, membership directories, minutes, journals, newsletters, predictions about religious education and programs, and are arranged alphabetically by title. Also includes an audiotape, photographs, posters and seven trays of slides for the 25th Anniversary celebration in 1980. Correspondence mainly deals with administrative matters. Researchers should note that the SBREA proceedings from 1956-1961 are also available in the microfilm collection (MF 1195).
