Album of cabinet card and tintype portraits belonging to Fannie Holder of San Francisco, Calif. and Portland, Or. The photographs date from, circa 1875-1893 and depict Fannie; her husband Joseph Holder, who operated a saloon in Portland; and their daughter, Eva Holder, as well as other unidentified people. Many of the portraits are hand-colored. Photographers include George W. Davies, Henry C. Hayes, Sophia B. Judkins, Elbridge W. Moore, and Bertram C. Towne of Portland, as well as other San Francisco photographers. "Mrs. Jos. Holder." is inscribed on the album cover in gold.

Eva Holder was born in 1882 to Joseph and Fannie Holder of San Francisco. By 1890 Joseph operated a saloon in Portland. The family lived in East Portland, where Eva attended Sunnyside School.
