Inchbald brothers correspondence, 1915-1916.

The Inchbald brothers collection contains correspondence from the three brothers to their father in London, England, with materials that date from 1915 to 1916. The letters describe the realities of World War I as well as Jack, Peter and Geoff Inchbald's personal experiences as soldiers. Also included in the collection are five photographs, presumably of the three brothers posed together and separately, in addition to one of their father Chantrey as well.

The Inchbald brothers each left their London home and enlisted and served in the British Army during World War I. The eldest brother Peter served as part of the 1st Indian Cavalry Division Expedition Force. The middle brother, Jack, served in the 4th Army Infantry. Geoff, the youngest Inchbald to serve, was part of the Imperial Camel Corps in Egypt.
