D.T. Singleton report cards, University of Georgia, 1849.

The collection consists of August and November, 1849, report cards from the University of Georgia. In addition to grades for studies fines for various offenses are listed, absences from church and prayers are noted, and a summary of the young man's career in November 1849 states succinctly that "of the 34 members of his class, 31 have been more regular in their attendance" and that he is "inattentive to college duties & negligent in his studies."

David Terrell Singleton (b. 1831) was the son of Dr. Joseph Singleton, Director of the U.S. Mint at Dahlonega, Georgia. He entered the freshman class at the University of Georgia in 1848 and was a member of the Demosthenian society, although he left the University after his junior year.
