Claud Lovat Fraser was a theatrical designer and book illustrator specializing in children's books. Fraser operated the Poetry Bookshop in London and published a number of children's books including The robin's songand Nursery rhymes. Fraser published under the pen name of Richard Honeywood. Chambers Haldane Cooke Macfall was an English military officer and author. Both parents had military ties, and he was educated at military school, and served in India and West Africa, retiring as a lieutenant.
