Drinkwater, a British playwright and poet, worked for an insurance company. In 1909 he became manager of the Birmingham Repertory Company, and his most successful plays included "Abraham Lincoln," "Mary Stuart," and "Bird in Hand." Claud Lovat Fraser was a theatrical designer and book illustrator specializing in children's books. Fraser operated the Poetry Bookshop in London and published a number of children's books including The robin's songand Nursery rhymes. Fraser published under the pen name of Richard Honeywood.
