Interviews with the Reverend Sherman Walker, African American minister in the Holiness Church, and veteran player of blues and sacred songs on guitar. Walker reminisced about his teens, when he traveled as an itinerant musician with Washboard Slim, and Willie [Hutton], a buckdancer and player of the Zulu horn. There are many humorous stories about "bumming" through North and South Carolina and Virginia. Walker also related his adventures turtle hunting in his native Salisbury, Rowan County, N.C. There are three tunes offered on electric guitar, on the last tape of the series.
