William Brown and Oliver Filley Account Book, 1823-1847.

Account book used first by William Brown, a drum maker in Connecticut, and later by Oliver Filley. Filley owned a farm in Waterbury but lived in Bloomfield, Connecticut for over 40 years. During that time he continued to farm, was involved in manufacturing, and represented the town in the State Legislature. Several of the entries relate to Filley's guardianship of Charles R. and Jonathan P. Thompson.
