This collection includes sound recordings, music scores, concert programs, publicity material, engagement diaries, photographs, press cuttings, scrapbooks, business and personal correspondence, personal writings and other miscellaneous papers and personal artefacts, collected by Dr. Eileen Joyce. The papers relate to her career as a concert pianist and her personal life, mainly for the period 1934-1989. The sound recordings all feature Joyce as a performer and her collection of performance scores is significant, as is material on her life and career in the United Kingdom, and her professional tours of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, South Africa, and South America. There is a significant amount of correspondence created by her second husband Christopher Mann, relating to Joyce's career and their personal life.
