Eight series of office files, most from the interwar period, of the Morgan Bank's French affiliate, Morgan et Cie., at 14 Vendome Place, Paris, comprising letters and cables, financial and legal documents, agendas and minutes of meetings, reports and memoranda, newspaper clippings, and other documentary materials. The collection offers information about the relationship among the firms Morgan et Cie., J. P. Morgan & Co., and Morgan Grenfell, and makes reference to J. P. Morgan Jr., the elder Lamont, Parker Gilbert, Hjalmar Schacht, Russell C. Leffingwell, Dean Jay, Bernard Carter, Marcel Morize, and Pierre Meynial. There are no documents related to Morgan et Cie.'s operations during World War II. A ninth series, the papers of the Argentine Office, was added to this collection at the time of processing.
