Òu mourut Oscar Wilde : autograph manuscript essay signed, [n.d.].

Describing an evocative visit to the Hotel d'Alsace on the rue des Beaux Arts in Paris, where Wilde died in 1900. The empty room reminds Bauër of visiting Wilde there with his father shortly before the writer died. "I saw him once, this daring & polished man, when I was a child and he would still meet in Paris one of those very few writers, Henri Bauër, who had come to his defense in adversity. ... Yesterday I know well that I saw him in that hotel bedroom adjoining that dignified garden, denuded by the winter."
